I have another freaking writing idea. Yes I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point but please continue to hear me out. I really like the concept of this game called Warhammer 40k. I have not played it, nor will I play it but I really like the fact that it has in-depth lore and an entire massive story that crosses thousands of years of time. I really love dungeons and dragons as well, I can never quite figure out time to play said game with my friends. My friends all work different schedules, so figuring out a night once a week to sit down and play is horribly messy. Love them all but we just haven’t been able to actually do it. Also I’ve had an idea for a campaign and everything for quite a while, but I know that the story I want to run is high combat, high story, high everything. I know its going to be a campaign the will take for freaking ever to run with my friends. I know that I want side stories and everything going on. I love the idea of all the things I write and do existing in the same literary universe. However, I have encountered an issue. I have concepts that don’t fit the scope of my different literary universes. Some of them I just know that it won’t happen, some of them I just want to keep them separated from everything else. I have this idea about this one universe that is just purely dwarves. Like I freaking love dwarves, they are some of my favorite mythical races because they are so funny. I really want to make a dungeons and dragons/warhammer 40k like dwarven universe. I want to have an entire mythos that I created for the dwarves, I want there to be thrilling politics and moving parts in multiple parts of the world of the dwarves. I’ve encountered many issues that I don’t know what to do with. Like do I want there to be other mythical races, like demons and elves and everything. And honestly, not really. Like I would love to have a fantasy world where there is a whole magic system and multiple races and everything. I want to do multiple story systems or universes but I really just want to do one about dwarves. Like I might make a dwarven universe series that has a bunch of spin off stories and all that fun stuff first and then turn around later on in life and do a fantasy series. I want to do dwarven world building right now, I think it would be really funny to have multiple ages and stuff like that only on a singular planet. I think if I limit myself to a singular planet I will be better able to fully flesh out the thousands of years of rich dwarven history. I want the stories for this dwarven universe to span like generations and ages, I want there to be a lot of fun books and content for the dwarven universe. I have no idea what I want to call it though, I just know that I want it to be fun and fully fleshed out. Sure it would be cool to have the stories from it be turned into games or something at some point but honestly I think I would just want to have like an ongoing comic series for it. Either like a graphic novel or like an online webcomic you could read. That would honestly be perfect in my opinion. I don’t know though, the world of webcomics has changed. So maybe I could do it as a twitter page or a instagram page where you can go read the stories of the dwarves. I want to have a bunch of fun stuff in it. I know that there is this game called dwarf fortress that would probably satisfy my needs, but to be honest I think I want to create and write my own world. It might be something super fun and cool for another time, but meh. Not right now.
