Futurama is one of my favorite shows, it was on TV for so long. It’s incredible that a show like this exists, its a nerds paradise when it comes to TV shows. The writing team for Futurama is said to be one of the most over qualified writing teams in the history of TV as almost every member had at least 1 PhD. This show is absolutely amazing, let me break it down on why I think it is so great.

First thing had to be the visuals, its an animated show that well at the beginning doesn’t look the best. Over time it evolves and looks a whole lot better. But that’s not what is so good about the show, the visual details that are included in the show is what I want to talk about. Their is so many cool details in this show, every background has something funny going on in it. The people that populate the show always have some hidden Easter egg with them, there are gimmicks in the show that only exist visually and not verbally. There’s a lot things like plot devices or branding that is consistent throughout the show. Like a visual joke is a normal thing in this universe, they have adds for “bachelor chow” in the show, the robonuka religion is featured throughout the entire run of the series. There are just so many great details visually in this show.

The plot structure of this show is absolutely amazing, at first there is barely any running time line or continuity to the show but as the seasons go on there is an overarching story that exists within the Futurama universe. It’s absolutely flawless, as you would expect something to be that was made by some of the smartest nerds out there. It’s so much fun that this show is like this.

Honestly, I can go on and on all day about how great this show is. I will probably repeat myself over and over. To save time and money I’ll just say that if you haven’t watched it you need to watch it. It is by far one of my favorite shows out there. Please, go watch Futurama. It is amazing. Enough said.
