There are so many things I have to do, and I love my to do’s. I believe I have spoken before about how I a have become obsessed with To Do’s, and this is true. I currently carry around a composition note book that I take notes in and put all my To Do’s and ramblings and ideas inside of. It is the most joyous of practices that I recommend others to do as well. At a certain point I realized there were things I was writing down in my composition notebook consistently that honestly, didn’t need to be written there every day or every week. Therefore, I started to utilize throw away to do lists! At my current job, we have an excess amount of throw away to do list things, and so I have started using these as well as my composition note book.
Honestly, having a throw away to do list along side my composition notebook to do list is amazing, it means I can stay organizing and I don’t have to rewrite all my to do list stuff in the composition notebook every day! Which saves me time, space, and ink! I write everything primarily in ink, oh I love ink! Pens are amazing and I need to use up my supply of pens. So it works out! Using up the supply of paper to do list pads and the supply of ink pens.
I recommend to anyone who has started obsessing with creating to do lists that if your going to do such, you will find that not everything will probably happen on the to do list that day. And that a daily throw away to do list of realistic to do’s is in order and beneficial. I thought initially that if I separated the two I would cause me distress mentally, but rather the opposite happened. By having the daily to do list separate it has resulted in me being more and more productive with my time because it’s stuff that I am going to be doing everyday! The joy of checking stuff of the daily to do list and the weekly to do list is immense, it makes it even more satisfying to check off things from the composition notebook to list because suddenly I’m not having to rewrite in that damn thing all the time!
Healthy habits, healthy life! I figured I’d share some of my joy and glee from my to do list ritual! Thank you for reading!
