Week 5 Reflection

Week 5 Reflection

Oh boy has it been a hot minute since I have worked on my blog. I am now only 56 posts behind! Wow! Life really does get busy. Let me see…. What have I yet to relay onto this website… I know! Currently I am working the same wonderful job that I was before, right now I am also working as a gardener for a few people. It is a very interesting story if I do say so myself, however I cannot share it until a lot of things have passed. I like to be able to share the entire story if I am going to be writing or recounting for people. A half finished story is cool and cliffhangers help but honestly, I don’t like to do that to folks. I went and visited my family recently, it was wonderful. I had so much fun, I got to hang out with my awesome 4 year old sister who is growing a greater interest in robots by the day. We had fun building robots, I made food for my family, we went to the beach, and ate great food from all over the place. Honestly, I had so much fun. Now I am back to my current homeland; back on the grind. Making that dough if you will. There are so many things to do, and so many intangible ideas floating through my head currently. As I have developed some of my habits, I have gotten better about making a to do list and getting it done. It makes me sensational to know that I can write things down on it, check them off, and get a dopamine boost for just a little bit. Currently thinking about developing an app for to do lists and all the other useful digital tools I feel I need. Like to be honest, I have a lot of apps on my phone that kind of annoy me, because they have like one function and they waste space on my app store and all that fun stuff. So I think I will probably try and make an app that supports my to-do list stuff then everything else that I hate having extras on my phone. I’ve been learning windows powershell actually, that was just something random that I sat down and did last night. It seems to be a very lengthy thing to figure out, but it seems way more intuitive than a lot of the terminals I have used over the years. Like, it has a lot of nifty features and everything is named like you would think it should be. Hell, I might even be able to make my own features for it if it works the way the reading says it does. Oh, travel back to the me going to Maine thing. My cat went and stayed with someone and had a wonderful time! When people would ask me about where she was staying it was always “my friend’s mom’s coworker/friend” and it was funny to try and explain. No really though, my cat now misses the lady that took care of her. Shout out to Gloria, she’s an OG! I might have an internship lined up as well, that’s exciting! It’ll be a hot minute before I can actually apply for it, but a family member is encouraging me to do it. It looks like something amazing, it pays well, is informative, and might result in me having a job right out of college which would be amazing! I have to talk to everyone about it, but it should be no biggie. I think I could pull it off. Flexibility is key, an adaptable employee is often the best employee! Speaking of employees, I started my summer class for management. Our book is called “organizational behavior” and I think it is quite a stellar read. It is both boring and informative enough to be incredibly interesting. Sadly they do word some things weirdly. They talk about increasing employee productivity by “exploiting the employees strengths”. Now I don’t know about you, but “exploiting” implies sinister action or backhanded means in my mind. I find it funny, there are better ways to say this that sound less harsh and yet they had the gaul to publish it that exact way. This book seems to be trying to be happy and go lucky with its subject matter, but then it jumps back to its cut throat business man roots. I chuckled a little too hard while reading it sometimes. Anyways, that has been what I have been up to. I haven’t been uber productive in the creativity side of things but that is alright, I’ve been organizing my life pretty much. I am at the point where filling a box of things from my apartment to take to my storage unit is much much harder to do than it was before. I have simply run out of unuseful things in my apartment to fill an entire milk crate with.

Well I guess thank you for tuning in, hopefully I will have more blog posts written up soon. Once I catch up I can go back and edit everything and make it just a little more readable hahah. Go read my other stuff!
